Antarctic Science Platform Impact: Antarctica in a warming world

Antarctica New Zealand

Antarctica in a Warming World plunges viewers into the heart of one of the planet’s most remote and fragile frontiers. Through compelling first-hand accounts from scientists, this short documentary reveals the concerning transformations unfolding across the continent and Southern Ocean.  Director Magnolia Lowe collaborated with Antarctic Science Platform researchers to share key findings from the past seven years of Aotearoa New Zealand’s Antarctic research, 2018 to 2025. The aim is to help people understand the current impacts of climate change, while also showcasing the breathtaking visuals of this unique region. Plain-language summaries distilling the research can be found at https://www.antarcticscienceplatform....
