Milan Cunliffe-Post

Milan Cunliffe-Post is a Marine Science PhD candidate at the University of Waikato. His research sits at the intersection of oceanography and ecology, with a focus on how phytoplankton dynamics respond to changes in sea ice. Milan has experience working across science–policy interfaces, including contributing as a member of the New Zealand delegation to the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR). His PhD research aims to advance understanding of phytoplankton bloom dynamics and speciation using a combination of vessel- and shore-based sampling, molecular characterisation, in situ measurements, and satellite remote sensing.
