Aimee Kaio

Aimee Kaio (Kāi Tahu, Te Arawa, Ngāpuhi) is an ASIS doctoral researcher at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, exploring Indigenous voice within the Antarctic Treaty System through a Ngāi Tahu case study. From Motupōhue, Bluff, she chairs the Antarctic Science Platform’s Kāhui Māori and brings iwi leadership and governance experience.
